Make a list of effective keywords that relate to the topic at hand. Keywords are one of the main things that search engines look for, and having a list of relevant ones on your blog will ensure a high ranking that will translate into more traffic.

Create your blog. Aside from your main blog, you will also want to build one or more satellite blogs that are in a better position to attract higher paying keywords. That being said, it would be best to limit the pages for your satellite blogs to not more than five.

Focus on the main blog. Your main blog is the star of your entire web site, so it only makes sense to focus the bulk of your efforts on it. A good rule of thumb to follow is to devote 99% of posting efforts on the main blog and the rest on your satellite blogs.
